Americana/Roots Rock Music

Welcome to the Home of Catfish Honeymoon. We're glad you took time to drop by.

We play a different kind of music...it ain't yo' daddy's country music, and you won't hear most of it on the radio (in this area). But then again, it's not just country music. We've mixed in parts from all over the musical spectrum. We like it, and we know you will too.

If you haven't visited in awhile, take a look at the News. Also, while you're here, take time to sign up for the email list. It's the best way to find out what's down the road a piece.

Well, if you weren't there on January 12th, you missed a real fun time. We had a blast as did everyone else and all for a great cause. We'll be doing it again in the Fall. It's guaranteed to be bigger and even better.

We have a couple of shows at Jay's in Arlington coming up and we should be announcing another one soon at Dockside in Colonial Beach. Hope to see all of you soon.

Well, Happy New Year!! We've got a great show to announce to begin the year. It's a benefit for SERVE in Manassas, VA. SERVE is Prince William County's primary service provider for the homeless and hungry. We are very proud to help such a great organization.

The event will be held at the Elks Lodge in Manassas, which is located in the old "Hayloft Dinner Theater". It's an excellent facility. We'll have a Cash Bar with beer, wine and sodas. Light snacks will be provided. There's a $15 cover with all proceeds from the event going directly to SERVE. Heck, you can even write this off as a charitible deduction.

If you haven't been out to see us in a while, this is the show to catch. It's a great venue for a an even greater cause. We need everyone to come out for this one. Check out the flyer for the benefit.

We've got a couple of shows to announce and that'll close out 2007 for us. It was a pretty good year for us and we hope the next one's even better.

Check out our refurbished MySpace page at www.myspace.com/catfishhoneymoon. We intend to start doing more with it in the future.

Yes, we've been quiet the past few months, but rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated...

Summer's almost here and from a giggin' point of view, very different from past summers. This is probably the most performances in any one summer since CFHM was formed. It's a wide variety of venues and locales. Take a look and come on out.

Merry New Year! We've got a lot of nice things happening in 2007. First of all, after months of various commitments we're finally getting out and playing clubs again. We'll be at Austin Grill in Silver Spring on January 19th, and at Jay's Saloon & Grille on February 3rd.

Now the big news...I know this is hard to believe but our CD "Keeper" is finally available for purchase. You can always buy one at any show but if you can't wait, it's also available at Amazon.com. We're very pleased with the CD and early reviews have been positive.

It's been quite some time since we've updated the web page...and we've been plenty busy.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day to play outside on June 11th on the Budweiser Stage at Celebrate Fairfax. A big 'thanks' to our families, friends and fans for coming out especially our tiniest fans, Dave and Katie's baby twins. It was really great to hear so much good music from all the bands at Celebrate Fairfax. Hope to see you all again there next year!

On June 13th we played the Victory Celebration for Jim Webb. Congratulations Jim Webb! We sure enjoyed playing for this happy crowd. A big thanks to Dave Kitchen for standing in on bass while Mike was out of town. Most interesting moment of the evening? Senator John Kerry strolling into the room to the tune of Bang, Bang, Bang!

Had a great time at Bistro Europa on Friday night thanks to a great crowd that kept us going late into the night ending with calls for 'one more song'. We obliged as well as we could with three more from some new tunes we've worked on by Cash and Buddy Holly. We'll let you know when we'll be back in Old Town again at Bistro Europa til then we've got several shows lined up and we sure hope to see some familiar faces out there.

A big thanks to all of you who came out to Austin Grill this past weekend. We had a great time and by the looks of things, everyone was enjoyin' themselves. We'll be back out at Austin Grill on July 8th. If you didn't make it out this time, try, try again.

We'd like to announce a new venue, The Legion. It's at the American Legion in DC and it is THE place for Honky Tonk in DC. The regular entertainment, The Wil Gravatt Band, was kind enough to give a shot at their regular Thursday night show. We can't let them down. We need all the support we can get at this place, so come on out for a night of dancin' and cuttin' loose. Hope to see ya there.

In case you didn't notice, we've finally got a picture of the current lineup at the top of this page.

We have 2 more shows to announce. One is a repeat gig at Austin Grill on July 8th. The other show will be at the Celebrate Fairfax Festival on June 11th.

If all goes well, and it should, our CD will be available for sale at the Austin Grill show in May. We've worked long and hard on it. It's worth the wait.

We wanted to shout out a big THANKS to all the folks that showed up at Jay's on Saturday. There's nothing quite as nice as seeing a room full of family and friends. For those of you who didn't meet Mike Grimm, our new bassist, at Jay's, well, you'll just have to come to our next show...which will be back at Jay's on April 15th.

Last but not least, keep holding on just a little longer 'cause that CD we keep promising is in the final stretch!

We've got some other shows in the works, so keep checking back.

If you're searching for a down-to-earth place to hang out, have some beer and listen to yours truly, come on down this Saturday, January 21 to Jay's Saloon & Grille at 3114 10th St N in Arlington. Smack dab in the middle of a growing number of highfalutin' joints, Jay's makes a stand as the best little brew house in Arlington. So, throw on your most comfortable t-shirt and jeans, play some pool, have a few beers, and listen to some good ol' CFHM. We just may surprise you with a few new tunes!
